Webster Lake Vandal(s)

Post by Heavyhound »

Went to Webster for the first time today with my 12 year old son. We returned to the Backwater Boat Launch and found that some cowardly piece of trash had smashed in the rear window of my truck. It didn't appear to be a theft attempt because the window wasn't removed, just dented in. The only motive I can think of was my out of state plates. I can't absolutely prove it was vandalism but I thought I'd warn anyone going there to be cautious.

Isn't there a private ramp on that lake somewhere? I'd pay a few bucks to stay away from these guys. If anyone has any info I'd appreciate it.

There is a city launch/park next to the Pizza King on the west shore of the lake.

Sorry to hear about the window, my family has a cottage over on Tippy so I go by that lauch quite a bit. We have never had any trouble from out of state plates, however if you have any muskie memorabilia on your truck it is possible that you ran into one of the village idiots. I still here the old misconceptions spouted as gospel about muskies eating all the bass, crappie, etc. Some people just choose ignorance.
