Heads up for Austin on 5-29

Just giving a heads up to anyone who may be heading to Austin on 5-29-10 that not only is it opening day of bass season but there is going to be a rather large bass tournament going on also. I talked to 2 seperate boats last Sunday who were "pre-fishing" for it, and I also personally know 3 groups of guys who plan on attending. I dont have any real clue how many it will end up being, but it appears to be quite a few. They even have it posted on craiglist - http://kalamazoo.craigslist.org/spo/1757381420.html

I want to emphasize I'm not trying to "scare" anyone away or anything like that, I just noticed the other post about Murray and figured I'd give a heads up just so anyone wanting to fish Austin knew what they might be getting into. Luckily for me I can't go Saturday even if I wanted to.

I think that is a terrible date to have a bass tourny there as the boating traffic will probably be out of control. The launch also gets really busy from people just swimming on the sand bar especially when the weather is nice.

I figure most lakes will be crazy this weekend. The no wake lakes will be loaded with fisherman trying to get away from the madness. I might just float the huron and deal with ......NOBODY!
