Hey Kid, can you try the glove/water ballon thing by poking the end of the knife or hook point into the glove?

Most of those style gloves don't really work for puncture. I think you would still have an issue, prolly better than bare skin though. I think there are some more expensive ones with different material that are better for puncture.
Those gloves in the vid are cheapies. (Although that stupid balloon didn't pop like I wanted it to at the end of the vid), believe me that knife is really sharp! I was quite impressed with the gloves. I will be wearing at least one from now on when I fillet a fish. I will also be wearing a pair next time I tackle a big,fat ham sammich!! Better grip, and I wont bite my finger off!! [smilie=biggrin.gif]
