WOW thats a bit of a shocker. No question, in its day (15 years ago??) Mindcrime was the baddest thing going! Too bad they wasted all those years in between on the opera ballads, but I'm sure that made them rich... will have to give it a try though

If we are chosing the best guitarist now...well it isnt blackmore, he was good, page was epic...clapton is flawless and van halen and hendrix were revolutionary...but i have a dvd of Stevie Ray Vaghn's 2 austin city limits performances, even though some might not dig his music, if you seen him play you would be in aww. Eric clapton said once, after seeing SRV play he was going to sell his guitars.....

rainbow....are you kidding me... "holy diver"....give me a break...great karaoke song....if you own a mullet :)

ronnie james dio couldnt mop the floor with richie blackmore swinging his 4 foot frame around at people... besides Page was into black magic, he would have just put a Hex on them and that would be that...

I was lucky enough to get a chance to see Stevie Ray Vaughn live in Ann Arbor, shortly before his death. I grew up in the 60's and 70's and listened to most all of the rock music there was to offer. SRV was truly one of the best.
