Chicago Muskie Show - Lure Swap

Post by Will Schultz »

6th Annual Chicago Muskie Show Swap Meet
The 6th annual Chicago Muskie Show Swap Meet will be Saturday night January 14, 2006 after the show at Official’s Time Out located approximately ¼ mile east of the show hotel (Barrington Rd & Higgins) in Hoffman Estates. Official’s Time Out is located adjacent to Poplar Creek Bowl, across the street from Stonegate Banquets.

Each year attendance has grown for this event. The 2005 swap was attended by over 125 people that came from as far away as New York state to be at the show. The variety of items at this event is outstanding. Hard to find baits, unique hand made baits, regional baits you may never have seen or only heard about (Weagle’s anyone?), down riggers, props, rods, reels, there's something for everyone.

There is no charge to attend this event so bring some stuff, buy some stuff, sell some stuff, trade some stuff and have some fun!

Fishing Pool will be exhibiting at the show, our 6th year, please come by and say hello. I'll have some of our new ACE baits along with the up-dated original ACE Baits plus, some 'different' stuff.

Our Swedish distributor, P.A Hogberg of www.lundgrensfiske.com will be on the stand unless he's testing baits in the pool and he can give you information on fishing for the BIG Baltic Pike (a recent ACE Hell Tail caught Pike was 18kg).

I am driving over on Saturday morning, shopping for a few hours, then heading to the swap. Plan to stay the night at the La Quinta and head home in the a.m. Have someone potentially lined up to go, but he is not for sure. I may have an opening in someone is interested.

Hey guys I was talking with Jimmy Willison of Willey’s Bucktails and he’s been a sponsor of the MMA for the past three years. He said that if you’re going to be at the Chicago Show this weekend to stop by and say hello and let him know you’re a member of Chapter 47. On that note if you have some time take a look at our sponsor page before heading out to the shows this year and let all of our past and current sponsors know that you’re a member of Chapter 47 and appreciate their support.

Thanks

Mike
