Sales of boats with windshields are probably up in the Illinois River area.

it's scary ...i can imagine driving my boat at top speed across LSC and having hundreds of fish from 5lbs to 50lbs jumping out all over around slamming into the boat and boaters....and what about inland waters...could VHS kill them off? But maybe they will be a great feast for LSC muskies and they could keep the population in check, but I read the spawn rapidly..as said above, just the end of the world...whoopee

Maybe Bryan has a good idea. Let the carp populate LSC and become a major boating hazard to the power boat knuckleheads out there. Maybe I could actually get a day's fishing in where there weren't boat generated 5 footers out there every morning after 9 am between Memorial Day and Labor Day.

Foreign fish caught recently in Lake Huron

Becky Cudmore of Fisheries and Oceans Canada said the metre-long fish, which was caught by a Purdy Fisheries boat on July 25, is believed to be a grass carp that’s not native to the Great Lakes. However, the specie won’t be known for certain until it’s been examined by staff at the Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto.
