25 HP Yamaha 2-stroke

Hello,

I am not sure about your posting rules here, but you may be interested in a motor I have for sale. I purchased it on 04-18-00. The motor has a 98 manufacture tag. It was sold to me as a 99. I used it for a year and a half or so. It has been run a few times since and it runs great. Take the ...

Hello,

Hello,

Was trolling Little Baydenoc with a customer on a late fall walleye hunt. Well, this fellow was really exited about catching his first trophy walleye. We had caught several nice fish that evening and still had lots of time left on the water. The next fish really zipped a board back ...

Hello,

If using mono backing it's best to only use about 20 yards and just eat the cost to fill the rest of the spool with your power pro. If you put too much backing on, the uni-uni knot will stick out like a sore thumb and may also even catch your super braid on it's way out if you really send ...

hook sharpeners

Hello,

There are a lot of hook sharpeners out there. Most will do the job, but the biggest problem I see with the use of sharpeners is oversharpening. I've seen a few guys that looked like they were playing a violin while they were doing their hooks. Unless your hooks are damaged(replace em), all ...

broken line

Hello,

Go with nothing less than 80 Lb power pro for all of your casting scenarios. Anything smaller than that will not only send tackle to visit davy jones, but will also tend to bury in between the line on your spool when the brakes may be suddenly applied; wanted or not! This is one the biggest ...

We've got the same problem up here in the U.P. It's bad enough that some guys up here are keeping fish, but 90% of these fish are destined for a trash can after the angler has burned 10 rolls of film and dragged their conquest all over town just to prove how big his testicles are. What really bugs ...

Hello,

I've got a lowrance 104 w/ gps and it's pretty good with the navionics chips. What I did for backup and general safety reasons, was to add a lowrance lcx-15 with a seperate gps antenna. I did'nt split the signal, instead I now have 100 percent backup. It's a good set-up for me.

Avid reels

Hello,

I still use a few calcutta reels but I am very happy with the avid series AC300. I bought 5 of the AC 300 last season and have had great luck with the reels. They made it through a grueling season(on the water everyday weather permitting) with no breakdowns. I own 4 calcutta 400 reels and ...
