Wanted to post a few pictures of some of the better U.P. fish that my son Bret and I got over the last couple of weeks. It really has been a tough bite up here this year but it has picked up recently….We fish Raber Bay, Munuscong Bay, Potagannissing Bay and Lake George….. bays are on the St. Mary's River. We troll and cast depending on the conditions.

To answer your question, my avatar fish was caught out of those same waters in 2005 on October 31st. She was 53.5 inches long and 26" and change around. Close to a 50 pound fish…I have seen longer fish from here, but the girth on that one is pretty good. I could feel the ciscos in her stomach when I was holding her….
I forgot to mention that if anyone would like to come up and fish I would gladly take you out. This is the time of year for big fish, now til freeze up. We fish until we can't break the ice from the launch…
