This one was Scott's anniversary present this year! Fished Lake Hudson together all day Saturday. Found quite a few, but plastic rod holders + inexperienced musky fisherwoman + 1 really big fish = rod in the water, tangled lines, and lure retrieved with no fish attached. But since Scott has a lot of patience, I learned to drive the boat, got to practice running a bunch of different baits a lot better & netted my first one for him later in the day. Caught this one about an hour before a hail storm set in; about 44” we didn’t take the time to measure real accurately because I was SOOO excited. This beautiful fish & successful release made up for the snafu earlier!
Was the first time I was able to get out for musky this summer, and couldn’t have asked for a better day. I was surprised that there were only a couple other boats out there the whole day.

Not to be outdone, Scott gets his personal best (52") right after my release. Also jigging, walleye "pounder" bulldawg.

First words from the fellas? Not "nice fish", but "Don't expect them all to be this big!" ha ha
