One thing crossed my mind… How much room did you leave when you cut out the hatches for the storage? You didn't only cut a blade's width, right? And is the wood going to swell over the years? I know I have a problem with a couple of doors in the front of my boat that are really tight now after the wood has swelled.

Will, did you pay Jim & Matt in Bulldawgs. I hear that is a legal currency!!
I couldn't being myself to part with any of my bulldawgs, they're like family… a really big family.

They're cut to allow for room for the carpet on both sides but so they fit tight. But… before the deck gets carpet there will be a final fitting with the hatch lids covered in carpet just to be sure the fit is correct.
OK… finally getting around to posting some pics.
This is going to take a leap from laying out all the parts on the carpet to completion because the steps between usually ended in a latenight wrap up and taking photos was the last thing on my mind when wrapping up at 2am and still having to drive back to GR.

Here's the completed project and the office of MMGS. I have to admit that I really struggled with making this a tiller but in the end I'm glad the console went back in.

One addition that you can't see is that the rod box can now accept rods over 8'6", I haven't tried to put a 9'3" in it but with the Okuma rods you don't need to because they collapse to 7'9".
There are (26) 3730 plano boxes under the deck with room for more but I've got other things stored in there like rod holders, (3) lifejackets and throwable, raingear and bins with maps, gloves, flashlights, etc.

Very Impressive! It looks awesome! Good job!
Thanks, it was a cool project but not something I want to again anytime soon. Recarpeting would have been easy but I had to make it difficult by remodeling, recarpeting and new vinyl (the vinyl was the only part of the process I didn't like at all).
