Ya my buddy takes care of his stuff. He would sweep up after every indiviual cut we made to the wood for the floor. He not only washes the boat, but trailer also. Wiped her down after every time out. There is no way I will do as good a job with this as he and his wife did.
The fam and I went out to MAC tonight for our first time in the new rig. Blessed with Drumbalya and Catfish slime!! Didnt get a chance to ski at all. She did really well, even went out on the big lake. A couple bugs I need to figure out, and the foot control trolling motor had me all messed-up. Not quite as fast as I thought it would be,… but she was loaded down pretty good. Launching and retrieving was a piece of cake (with a dock and 2 people) and the Park Ave towed really good even with the air on.
A great first trip out!!

That's one thing I regret about mine – not wiping her down EVERY time out. I used to mock people at the launch who would do that. But now looking at mine after years of not doing it, and I wish I had. One of these Saturdays, I'll have to take a bucket of Muriatic to the hull.

Thanks fellas, I do appreciate the kind words!
** Steve, thats a safe bet! I gotta try and be cool on this rig and tow vehicle.
** Scott HC, she runs out good, I just kinda thought there would be a couple more MPH in it. But, the conditions were way less than perfect so when things are lined up right maybe It will hit the number I hope it will.
Not that-thats what I bought it for but it is kinda fun! [smilie=biggrin.gif]

Kid, with the right prop you should get about 35 to 45 mph. My 17.9 foot with the optimax 115 did 40. with the 115 4 stroke it tops out about 38. Yopur boat is smaller and that looks like a 2 stroke 115 so less weight. You should get an easy 40 plus. Mike

O.K., its doing pretty good then. It was at 40-42MPH with the whole family, 3/4 tank of gas, and all our gear. Thats the factory spedo reading, which is all I have to go by right now. RPM's were at 5200 which I think is about right for that motor.
