We got to take a ride in our new boat today. She handled a very rough Lake Michigan very well as we took her out for a test drive. After storing it here in Twin Lake we will be moving it to Lake St. Clair to the Emerald City Marina. The boat is a Four Winns 24.5 foot Vista Cruiser. Power is a single 350 Chevy with a Cobra Out drive. Its a 1988 but has only 1200 total hours on it. The boat is Very clean and runs great. W e will be installing a track system for rod holders and Planer boards and a 60 inch Fish tank Live well. This boat has two cabins and sleeps 4, has a top speed of about 30 mph and can be heated or air conditoned. Bathroom, refrigerator and cook stove round out the luxuries. It will be a gas hog compared to our Starcraft using about 20 to 25 gallons per day instead of 15 like we are used to. The great thing is it will be there from May to November and we will have zero trailoring expense and motel costs. When its all said and done it will cost us less then we are spending to trailor our 18 footer and the weather will not be as big a deal as it is now. Here are several pics.

W e are pretty geeked about it. This boat was left to us by Michelles Uncle Mike who is moving to South Carolina and did not want to go through the trouble of selling it. We have to take him Musky fishing when he comes back to vist. I feel pretty blessed right now and still in shock that he just handed it over to us. Mike
Free is always good 😀 Shelly can snooze all she wants ha ha ha . Getting the right mooring cover will be important as will some air conditioning for those long stays on the boat. Mounting the tracks will be easy and there is plenty of rod storage in the aft cabin. We plan on removing the rear seats and the side teak rails. Im looking for some good used electronics for it right now. I would like to get a good 3500 c lowrance gps like the other ones we have. By June 1st of next year we will be in the water. Mike
I am looking for a trailor that will haul it to buy. I found one in Ohio so far and another in Flint that would have to be modified. I also found a 24.5 foot Bayliner in great shape with cracked block(needs a 305 Chevy) with a trailor for 2 grand. If I could sell the boat for 2 grand I can get the trailor free. The Bayliner would be a good project boat for a machanic. Mike
