Will has it.

The launch is in Cass County, but the lake is in St. Joe county. It was kind of hard to see next to those other lakes:

Oh yeah, I can play this game!! But since it is kinda part of my job to look at maps all day, I have a bit of an unfair advantage. I spend a lot of time staring at lakes and aerial photos daydreaming. MANY times I have had people walk by office and remark "boy you are really concentrating hard on your work there!"… uh, yeah, you know, just doing my job. Unfortunately my boss is a little wiser and he usually just says "hunting or fishing spot??"

I remember having to take an aerial photography class at Eastern for my degree. Really cool stuff! Duke…I'm with you, except I don't do it for a living but I find myself studying maps on a very regular basis.

Have you guys discovered Google Earth, it takes aerial photography to a three dimensional level. I discovered it when I drew my mule deer tag for the Kaibab Plateau on the north rim of the grand canyon. You can actually go into the canyons and pan around to see the canyon walls 😯 , very cool. A great tool for learning to use topo maps.

I like trying to find lakes when I am doing Mx flights, it gives a place to point to and they can be hard to find too! I will post more as I fly. It is really interesting in the summer as the weed lines develop, as currents move the water around etc. Other wise I have my head down looking at screens while calibrating something.

I would fly over Ovid, but it doesnt have any Muskies! 😯
