Hey, thanks guys. Will, it's interesting you should mention the spot, because it sure seems correlated to certain times (and migrations) during the seasons. It was quite a gift to be able to go out during my Christmas break and catch one from the boat! I'll take a fat fish for a Christmas present every year!

The length was 41 inches and the girth was pretty wonderful. Didn't get a measurement on the girth, but really wish I could have! The temps were quite cold, as you would expect, so I got to watch the fish at a slow enough speed for my eyes to take it all in really well. Not a slow motion strike, just a little slower than normal. It came up just perfectly from the bottom and turned at just the right angle for me to see its mouth wide open and then take the bait. Always fun when that happens!
