is this just a pike???

It was caught in ellsworth lake, about 14-15" long…caught a ton of pike this size, but all had more traditional markings. just thought it was a neat looking fish.

It looks very similar to a "leopard" pattern tiger musky that is pictured in the current Musky Hunter magazine. It is on page #19.

Chain pickerel have a dark vertical stripe below the eye.

thanks hemi, i was pretty sure it was a pike. kinda cool coloration, but was curious of the distiguishing difference between them.
