My son and I took our annual Canadian trip to Eagle Lake Ontario….tough conditions, high pressure, heat, sun and no wind does not make for a good bite…however, saw lots of fish but not many eaters….my son managed this one over the "magic mark" ….. this one ate one of our double bladed bucktails…seems orange/black, yellow/black were the colors of the week…. We always stay at Birch Dale Lodge and fish that end of the lake especially the West Arm. In my opinion the bigger fish are in that end of the lake.

What a great fish!
My sons and I were on Eagle in late June. We also had tough conditions–cold front after cold front, very high winds, water temperatures dropping every day. But we still saw quite a few fish and got some to eat.
What general part of the lake do you fish? We mainly stay around Vermillion Bay and part of the Backchannel, but occasionally we–especially Joel and Jason–like to fly down to bays like Lost and Meridian.
