Yup, the Bay. That sea duck hunt will be awesome- that is tops on our list of destination hunts also. Very cool animals! The bay gets a few sea ducks, and they are a THRILL- in fact, Pete just took one that will be going on the wall…

Gotta get back on the fish track for the rest of the geeks on the site, although your collection should tide everyone over for a while!!

were u on a river catchin some of those muskie? Where in michigan are the consistent in rivers other than detroit? the U.P?
Yes, river muskies are some of my most favorite muskies! There are many good muskie rivers within their native range of the UP, NLP, and even downstate they can found downstream from EVERY impoundment that has been stocked in this state. If the river has suitable summertime habitat, they are perhaps even more 'at home' in the river than they are in the lake/impoundment.
That rock looks a little like one of a thousand islands…
It does, but that was actually our one and only foray into NW Ontario so far. That is like Mecca that every muskynut should visit in their lives! If it weren't so far, and if I didn't have to drive past so many muskies to get to those muskies, I would do it A LOT!!!
Need to refresh the pictures a bit! Here's a cool one:

That's a 7.5" Grandma inhaled!!!! Luckily, through some really handy maxillofacial surgery by my bros, this dandy fish barely even bled, and released great. The first words out of Pete's mouth when the fish hit the net I believe were "Crap, looks like this one is going on the wall…" Can't wait to catch her next year!
