Water temp: 35 – 44
Water clarity/color: slight stain to very stained
Weed growth: very little new growth anywhere in the lake found some in the NW corner of the lake and sparse new growth in other areas.
Fish were going great on Friday when we caught five in just a few hours. Saturday was a different story with nothing going. One over 30 and one sub-legal in the boat was all that we could manage on Saturday.
For sure!
This warm weather and rain will have these fish charging onto the flats and shallow water. Normally when there is decent current the channel that runs from the backwater to the main lake (Backwater Bay) gets loaded with fish. The other areas are the flats around Echo Bay (east side) and the flats on the west side from the Pizza King/Dixie Queen to the north around Governors Island.
