Spent a few days trying to check off a couple places with Moski.

I haven't seen a report from up north in a bit so I figured I should post our experiences.

We casted a bit and trolled a ton, and failed miserably at both. But in places like that, every hour spent is an hour closer to success, right ?!?!

Temps were 73-74 pretty much everywhere, slightly warmer in the rivers and cooler in lakes.

Weeds were healthy where there were weeds, with some of the most enticing cabbage beds I have ever seen.

Clarity was 10+++ feet depending on location, as was expected.

Weather sucked. It rained most of the day Tuesday the 13th, but was calm. It was bright, hot, sunny and windy as hell on the 14th. The 15th was a combination of what made the previous days uncomfortable.

We hit a couple areas really hard, unfortunately the wind was blowing out from those spots on the first couple days, and back onto it the last day… not sure it affected much.

We confirmed the existence of 4 pisciforms. One dead gar, 2 pike and one something that ate on the surface near the boat.

Lastly, we were able to take Duke's recommendation and stop at Mama Leones in Gaylord for pizza. We will both be back. We also stopped at the Pine Squirrel, which was also quite good (not for pizza). The next days stopped at Breakers where we we were able to sit and stare at pics of speared muskies and drink way too much beer, and an interesting visit to the Pinehurst Bar. Both places were as interesting as the first two, but for the wrong reasons. I will say, if I am fortunate enough to go to the Pinehurst again, I will try the pizza, it looked pretty darned good.
