Water temp 75 @5:30am. Most weeds still 5ft below the surface, a couple spots slightly higher. Went looking for redemption after losing one out here on June 5. Thank you again to those of you that advised me on proper drag setting for planer boards earlier in the week, it paid off big. First lap in the heavy fog produced a 44 incher on a Bluegill colored Knuckle Ball made by me! The bait was running 3ft down over open water. Even though I have been having some success trolling open water it still amazes me every time I hook into one out there. Trolled for a couple more hours then called it a morning.
