Water temp 68f. Water color stained 6 or 7ft visibility. Weed growth limited.
Got out about 6pm. Casted for a while, with no luck. Decided to switch tactics and do some short line trolling at the South end which has the better weeds. It didn't take long after that to put the net under a 36 incher ,my son's first musky, and first one from Wilson lake. The fish ate a 4" jointed crankbait I made in florescent yellow perch. The bait doesn't have a name, because I can't think of one for it . It's just something I've been tinkering with this spring. Feels good to finally get one on Wilson
