Went up for what was supposed to be a 7 day excursion but had to leave Friday morning because water was in the danger zone. Started on Kingston Wednesday and water temps were 73 in the morning and 78 in the evening. Had action from a few fish and Payton got a 38 to commit to top water as the sun went down. Spent a good amount of time on McKeever on Thursday until late afternoon once water temps were near 80. Lots of active fish and Payton caught a gorgeous Tiger on a musky bandit prodigy. Went back to McKeever Friday morning and caught one on a phantom and left before noon with water already at 79. We decided to head home early knowing there was no chance for a cool down in the near future. Did go back above the bridge Saturday and fished the straights for Lakers and had an absolute blast. We had a rail fest out there putting a dozen really beautiful fish in the net and hooking up with a bunch of others. Finished the trip with a double which was a little hectic. Always nice to escape the crazy vacationers on the holiday weekend.
