Trolled Lake Bellaire 10/5; Elk Lake 10/6 – 10/7:
-Bellaire was 59°; Elk was 60°
-Weeds all still green (including pondweed)
-Tough to find any baitfish moving closer to shore under any amount of daylight
-No fish contacted

Had one small moment of excitement while trolling Bellaire. Line started screaming off one of my reels and people were coming out on their dock to watch. For a moment, I thought it was a hard-fighting muskie because I was out over semi-deep water, but apparently there was a stump or some timber about 15' to 20' deep. Made my heart race for a minute with an audience watching. Realized it was timber before they did. They said it was still exciting to watch.
