I have Larry's book and it is a great read. I had the luck of being able to spend two Chicago shows chatting with Larry in the Pastika's booth. His books are an awsome collection of all of the legends and lore in our sport. I Agree completely. Mike
I like Pike Rule 2"s idea about crash course maps // experiences // summeries that are assembled by veterans on certain bodies of water or a territory (SW / NW Cliff Notes as a region) …..All of the afformentioned tackle ( With 8-9 ft rods ). Its was nice to hear the DNR guys last year and maybe some more insight into the future of GLS // FUNDING // FUTURE // CONCERNS // REGS….A "State of the Union" style annual address. FLAG!

I need ideas for things people will spend money on.
How about some electronics? Or things like on-board battery chargers? A safety pack that will make your boat legal including fire extinguisher, horn/whistle, flares, and anything else you would need on LSC. As a last resort, I guess we could supply our own beer instead of having the bar there. Maybe a few packs of smokes…. I'll spend money on those!

For me custom baits (hellhounds, bikini baits, etc), a map of LSC marked up by water temperature and what to throw at that time of year. Good leaders, books, DVD's and trips from other MMA members with expertise on a certain body of water. I would also like to see some MMA hats, fleece jackets and any other cool MMA stuff.

[quote="pikerule2"]Something to consider, kinda' like guide for a day, might be a "kit" of some highly recommended lures and a marked map for certain favorite lakes. For example there could be a Murray package, an Ovid, a Sanford, a Thorn… Certain members with lots of lake knowledge would suggest the baits and mark the map, and the "kit" would be auctioned off at the banquet. It might be popular and bring in some serious coin, and really help out whoever wins each kit.
Really good idea Joe! This would take a little work to assemble, it it could be a fun little project, and I bet it would fetch big $$$
This great idea is in the works thanks to some generous MMA members. Each package will include a marked map with seasonal locations as well as some general information about each location. Also in the package will be a set of four "must have" lures suggested by the local experts for each body of water.
Since I didn't want to flood the banquet with too many of these we'll have this type of package available for the next few years with new lakes each year. This year the lakes will be:
Sanford
Ovid
St Clair
Murray
Thank you to the experts that are making this possible!!

They were on our "to see" list for the show. We saw them… they stayed in Mike's booth.
LOL I guess ill just stick with the kick'n minnow then.
They looked pretty bullet-proof to me, but still not worth $30.

I agree on the Shadallac's. I would pay $35 bucks for those fictional Voo-Doo tails.I would pay more for Heather.
There is only one voodootail… Hopefully one day the witchdoctor will find time to tie again… For now, mine are under lock and key. One particular mag voodootail has 111 inches of muskie from 2 fish… That one is stored in a remote offsite location under 24 hour armed security… It only comes out to play when traveling east…
