I was wondering if anybody was planning on making a run down to Ye Olde (or any place that has suckers) in the next week or two? I really want to get my hands on a few this fall again but with deer season and the fall steelhead run in full swing I haven't had much time. I would be willing to help pay for gas along with the suckers for the trouble. Or if anyone has a stock of them and wouldn't mind selling some that would work also. Please just let me know asap. Thanks

I've been planning to catch suckers in a Thorn tributary for several seasons now, or go back down to Ye Old as mentioned, which I've done before to then lose too many in my dumb set-up in the garage.

For what it's worth, probably not much since it's all our own guesswork, but my hunch is they are more important on Thorn and Long late in the season, I guess due to the abundant food and/or types of forage like masses of suckers in Thorn, making it tougher to get good cold water eaters on our artificials. I still stubbornly fish Thorn too much but very late in the year have found Osterhout, Murray, Austin, Diane and Ovid all much better for the time spent when not having suckers.

I know it's a long shot but I'm still looking. I have a 4-day weekend coming up so I'm hoping to get some before then.
