Well,… I knew it was going to be a "transitional year", but this is ridiculous. They are struggling to do even the fundamentals. With a season going this bad my fear is Michigan football turning into Michigan basketball. A couple of really bad seasons, and next thing ya know no
one wants to come play for your program.Keep in mind MSU and Illinois
are comming around which will make recruiting even tougher.

Transitional year? This is at least a three year rebuilding process. When you have to deal with players that were recruited to play the old style of Michigan football and can't comprehend this new offense shtuff happens. You just have to enjoy the good quarters they play because putting a whole game together for these players is going to be tough.
Blown fundamentals aren't a coaching issue, that should have been id'd in the recruiting process (coach Rodriguez didn't recruit these guys). I don't care how much sugar you add to crap, it's still going to taste like crap. Then add in injuries to the defense and the only QB on the field that can remotely deal with this offense and things aren't going to be pretty. In yesterday's press conference coach Rodriguez said something about the defense to the effect of… we had solutions for their offense but didn't want to confuse our defense. I think that speaks volumes about the quality of players coach Carr recruited. Fumbles are coming from players that didn't play under coach Carr and now we know why – they can't hold the ball.
AND… I'm pretty sure coach Carrol and Tressel had a couple awful years at USC and OSU before their systems put teams to the top of the rankings.
Stop it, they're terrible this year. Let it go. There is nothing to analyze or disect, just root for the other team that has ONE loss this year. The lions suck, Michigan sucks (and will suck for some time). That leaves you with Michigan State and GVSU. See you U of M fans at the bowl games, from your couch…….. [smilie=bs.gif]
Say What??? Tressell was a 14-0 national champ in his 2nd season with the bucks if memory serves me right. Carroll was 6-6 first year,11-2 second year, and 12-1 national champs in his 3rd year.
Michigan recriuting has been in the top 13 schools since 2006, probably longer. I dont really call that crap. Granted some have left since the change over.
I dont blame it all on Rich Rod,he is not the one on the field, I just cant believe how bad they really are. All it takes is a couple of bad seasons and its really hard to get it back.
-Notre Dame,SMU,Texas AM,Fla St.,Washington,Nebreaska,Miami and many more STILL YEARS LATER trying to recover after only a couple bad seasons. This is my fear.
