I spent today up at the RAM center Higgins Lake with the Lake Huron Citizens Fishery Advisory Committee meeting. The all day meeting was filled with fishery, economic, and organizational challenges. During our meeting break I expressed my 'Thank you' to Kelly Smith and hatchery staff for helping the MMA out with the extra effort to save the muskie program with the Iowa fish. Kelly admits it is nice to hear the 'Thanks' once in a while during these tough times. MMA is very lucky to have such a good relationship with the DNR.

Kelley is a really nice guy and has never been one to give me a PC answer just to shut me up. I think we're lucky to have him as Fisheries Chief.
