It was 7 PM, already had a 3 footer follow and decided to finish the night trolling. 10" Jake at 6 ft. and a 10" Slammer shad diver at about 15' running the break in 25 to 35' depth. Everything felt right. Watching graph, hmm some nice baitfish, whoa BIG arc, zip, zip, zip…
Before I could get to the rod, I saw it fly out of the Salty rod holder, everything gone, blink of an eye. @#$%!!!
I have to say I'm not nearly as mad about the $300 at the bottom of the lake as I am about not seeing that fish.
Woe is me.
Poppy. I had kind of joked before about diving for baits in my dry suit, But if you have Idea where it went down I would love to get it back for you! I know the fish will move it a bit, but it might get hung up close to the lost point. If you want to work on it PM me. I will be heading out of town on Mon, but will be back on Thur Eve.
I would dredge the area with a rope and weighteed hook of some kind. Should be easy to find a line and a floating lure. I just went back on a lure I lost on Murray and got it back. I also removed the Weighted Milk jug and rope depositing it on the beach of the guy who put it there. The jug was three feet under the surface. Mike
