I certainly would not call Sanford clear (except maybe in mid-late fall). Wixom is very much like Sanford, clay stained with lots of weeds. Wixom is a deeper lake than Sanford. The Tabacco arm (the western most arm) of Wixom is not hydroelectric so it tends to stratisfy. The Tittabawassee arm of Wixom is hydroelctric so there is enough current flow that it tends not to stratisfy at all. Lots of pike and bass in Wixom just like in Sanford. A bit more than twice the water to fish in Wixom than Sanfiord, only down side is Wixom gets much more boating activity than Sanford so on weekends the lake is an absaolute zoo.

I fried 3 5600's in one season two years back and stopped using them for muskies. I've had better luck with my Morrums but both the 5600 and 6600's I have were sent in for repairs twice each in the two years I've used them.
