Holy Schneikes!

(Maybe I'll ask if I can check his boat out at the Ovid Outing… he won't miss a few Dawgs here or there… "><url url="[Permission to view this media is denied]

Damn nation! Seriously, whos dog collection is that? I thought i was bad with 8! I bet that guy catches alot of portly fish though, i have found the dogs to be very succesfull, second only to the bucktail on my raft! Probaly becuase dogs and bucks are so versitle…or perhaps because i throw them more often…who knows!

saw that post on muskiefirst; cant wait to have my own boat to rig up like that. A lot of people just hang the lures by the carpet inside the compartments but this is sweet. I believe the guy said the dawgs that have their own space are pounders and the ones that are doubled up are mags. Anyone on here every throw the pounders?

Had one for awhile…last time I went to Ontario, sold it to someone here, Mesick area maybe. Boy do they make a noise when hitting the water, like a small plane crash.

used pounders quite a bit in St. Clair last year – Scott's PB in the photo section was caught on one, jigging it though, not casting. triple check your equipment & knots if you plan on throwing one

My dawg collection surpasses that, not the pounders though because I think I have found a solution for getting a soft plastic that size without having to throw a 13oz bait. I seriously have somewhere in excess of 50 dawgs unfortunately… or perhaps fortunately for Musky Innovations.

Will…do you fish dogs more than anyting else, or do you just have alot of tackle? The reason i ask, is that it seems the dog is one of the few lure that can really fish any situation well.

No I don't fish them more than any other lure. My Jake, Grandma and VooDooTail collection is just as excessive as my Dawg collection. In fact you got me thinking whether I really need anything but those lures so I did some quick data filtering…
Bulldawg – 100+ fish up to 55” since 2001
VooDooTail – 50+ fish up to 53” since 2001
Jake – 100+ fish up to 52.5” since 2001
Grandma – 100+ fish up to 51.5” since 2001
Weagle – 50+ fish up to 48.5” since 2004

50"+ since 2001:
BullDawg 12
Jake 6
VooDooTail 3
Grandma 1
Wabull 1
Believer 1
Suick 1
Burt 1

I should really take that list of eight lures to heart and have a garage sale… NOT!

So, are you going to clue us in on the large soft plastic lure that's as big as a SuperMagDawg, but doesn't weigh as much?

I need to play with them first and then I'll pass it along, it could end up being the worst lure ever. In which case I don't want to be the responsible party…

I saw Larry Dahlberg on hunt for big fish one time with this huge plastic lure he designed himself, and it was like the outline of a dawg, but very thin
