Maybe next time sucker fishing, I'll try setting the hook like I'm using a wet noodle for a rod. Seems to have worked for him! 🙄 Did he say that was a 7 acre "lake"?!! You would think it would take less than 50 years to get a fish like that out of such a little pond…

Incredible fish, Michigan can grow fish approaching that in its better waters, but not anytime soon the way pike are treated here.

It was also interesting how long it seemed out of the water, granted still wet in the sack they use. They have great survival rates so it seems to still work. I read of one upper 40 pound fish over there that was reportedly caught and released a documented 7 times.
