Have they finished the bass study or when will it be finished. I guess it may depend on the bass study, will it be stocked with muskies? If so will they put back the no spearing? How about Woodland, it used to have Tigers too.

Good question on the Bass Study. I fish and dive Whitmore a lot and have not seen the DNR out and about lately. They may have finished. I would love to see Whitmore back in the Musky hunt.

Not sure about Whitmore and Woodland being stocked again. With the new management direction with the GLMUS I would think it would be more likely to see Ford and the upper parts of the Huron stocked instead of starting new water with minimal/no chance of natural reproduction.

This is purely speculation on my part.

Will, from Ford Lake up-stream, where would they start up-stream. I remember years ago when they did a huge fish kill on Ford, tons of carp. Have fished below the Barton dam to the next one, below that dam down to the one by US 23 and below that one to the one by the papermill. Tons of smallies and gar pike. There's a launch below M-14, but I think that's for canoes & kyaks. When you fish the one below US-23 down to the papermill, you come around this corner and here's this mansion, I think owned by the Ford's.

I don't know anything beyond what I've briefly discussed with the basin supervisor. Barton would be a good starting point upsteam allowing them to trickle downstream through the system.

With the forage base in Ford and Belleville, that could be a great fishery.
And yes to Steve. That is the Ford mansion.
