Can't decide…

This should be like fishing in mid-May on most of the lakes, which makes the decision really tough.

I wonder how many bass tournaments we'll run into on Saturday?

A CIR bass tournament is called a "paper tournament", fish are measured then released. Kinda like a muskie tournament. I know of one for sure this weekend but it's not on a muskie lake.

just guessin………..do to parking lot size/local bassers.I think ovid and austin might be quite busy. And those are two places i`m considering.I feel like i`m juggling about 5 lakes NOW and don`t know. Not to sound like a cheese dick……….but gas is killing me and may dictate how much WANDERING out of a 60 min, drive…if even that…I`m going to do at 3-4$$/gallon.I put 100$in since webster last sat,and just put in another 50$4for a meeting in detroit tommorrow, and I`m going to have to put more $$$$$$$ in the tank to go fishin saturday !!!!!!!! When I have to charge gas to fish constantly…it`s OVER.I`m probably jugglin..thorn,bankson,murray,austin,ovid right now…. ❓ ❓ ❓

What's a FIP or FIPS? Would they be anything like the FIB's and the FOB's (sorry DU 😈 )

Oh I will be cleaning lures somewhere in the North, the wind and weather will dictate location.

Hey now! There just might be an ex-Flatlander (aka FIB) among you. No offense taken, though. I may have been born in IL, but I'm a Packer fan by choice.

My decision as to where to fish this weekend is easy . . . no fishing for me due to family commitments.

Phil,
From my understanding FIB stands for Fraternal Illinois Brethren Wink and has nothing to do with ones mother being wed or not.

Ken- I too have to take issue with FIP comment.

They are not People, and they should only be addressed with the FIB tag!

It was going to be Ovid, but changed to Sanford. With the extra bass traffic expected ,I will have a lot more elbow room that way.

Walt, ever get a muskie in Whitmore? probably none left anymore. I saw a 40" tiger washed up on shore about six years ago in the fall.

Hi Jason, I have probably caught 20 or so Tigers, but nothing in the last 10 years. I had a follow six years ago from one that was probably 42-45 inches.
I keep my pontoon at driftwood marina, and everytime I go out, I swing for the fences hoping for one last shot at another!

Down here in the corner, that is Chicago's gateway to Michigan, we have several names for our neighbors in Illinois. FIP is just the most common. As a matter a fact, a few years back, someone spray painted FIPS GO HOME on one of the first overpasses on I-196.(I had nothin to do with it) I tend to prefer FISH myself. Wink
