Both good choices this time of year. Now that Ovid is offering larger fish, the choice becomes even more difficult… Let the weather decide. If it looks like the winds will cooperate with you, head to LSC, if not Ovid. If you want to give your buddy the big water experience, you know where to go. But, LSC can be overwhelming and you won't be fishing "normal" structure. It is easier to get a handle on a smaller lake, so if you think he would enjoy that more, Ovid is the choice.
All depends on what you/you buddy wants.
There are no muskies in Ovid. "><url url="[Permission to view this media is denied]<url url="[Permission to view this media is denied]

AS Chad said LSC is mentally very tough on a Newbie. I would suggest taking him to Ovid where multi-species can provide action with a very good shot at a decent fish. If you want to turn him on to the sport go easy on him and hit a lake where follows are probable. Despite the awesome fishery of LSC it can also shut you down as Im sure your well aware.
