I have a few friends that expect the world when they fish with me.I got one friend that when it's time to pay for the gas or the launch it's hard to get money out of him even though he said we will spilt the cost but when we get home to my house he can't grab the all the walleyes fast enough and leave and almost knock you down when he leave's my house but they expect to catch limits of fish no matter what the weather is.I'm just pist I guess because of my last trip to sanford my buddy said he bring his boat then he showed up at my house no boat and expect me to hurry up hook up my boat and go I told him were spilting the cost he said ya then we fish at sanford I get a strike on my side of the boat and he got mad because I didn't let him reel it in the musky so we left because it was to hot for him at about 3:00pm so we left. I feel like a damn guide some time's and don't get payed for it.So I stop at a gas station on the way home and I put $20.00 in gas in my truck and $40.00 in my boat and payed $5.00 to launch then he tell's me he has no money on him so I told him there was a atm in side so he goe's get some money we get to my house he give's $20.00 and can't leave fast enough.Life is grand and so are friend's
we all know those kinda guys, or people for that matter, i guess it's out of the ordinary for people to be curtious about those things, gas, lunch, or launch fee's. i never expect people to chip in, but in the back of your head i would think they would, like a code of honor thing, out of respect for using your rig and tools, but those kinda people never feel they are in the wrong. I have friends that expect the world to when in the boat, like if the fish aren't jumping in the boat it's 100 questions on what's wrong. "well, you see that lighthing hitting the water 10 feet from us, it's scaring the fish and we have to go"…haha gotta love it.
It boils down to the fact not everyone understands what we do when we go out fishing, in most cases it's looked at as "playing" or "goofing off"…when it is more work then reward sometimes.
