My personal best was on July 5th last year on thornapple. I was trolling around 2 pm and the lake full of traffic. My portable depth finder had came off and I could see it behind my boat. I slowed the boat down to fix it when my rod came flying back and hit my leg. I looked back while setting the hook and watched monster northern spit my bait… I was so mad I turned right around and made up my mind I was going to criss-cross that point over and over for the remainder of the day. My next pass down I hooked my biggest Muskie, somewhere between 46 and 47 inches estimated with the famous shovel head look. The fish didn't even act hooked until we made eye contact which apparently pisses them off! I was very lucky to put the fish in my net and the best part was the powerful take off of the fish. I will never forget my first moments with battling a Muskie. I could catch a thousand bigger than that fish, and I promise I'll never forget that day. What a bruiser I can still see the fishes eyes when I close mine! [smilie=biggrin.gif]
July 2007, I had a friend visit from Wisconsin. He wanted some fish for a shore lunch, so I took him to Skegemog for some pike. We forgot the camera and a net believe it or not. we trolled the weedline, quickly putting 2 26 in pike on the stringer, then the reel on the prop wash rod started screaming, and the big girl jump clear out of the water, she was 47 inches with a 24inch girth, and she swam off with no trouble after the long fight.
Jan 12, 2008. Murray Lake. And no, I wasn't ice fishing. The lake had been frozen but reopened for a short time in January. Caught in 39' fow on a fuzzy duzzit. I didn't know how to correctly handle muskies then, so all I got was a net picture, and a weight in the net. Subtracting net weight, the fish weighed 27 lbs.

53.5 for me on one of my Slashers in Hot head. Caught trolling the Canadian side of St. Clair at the Rabbit Ears. I was on Cooper Smiths 27 foot Sea Ray. The best part was it came on a bait I built and was the only fish of the day.
Michelle's is 55 caught on Craig Miller's 31 foot Sea Ray two days after I caught my 53.5. Hers came trolling down by the Thames on a Spanky Bait. I had big fish for the family for two whole days. ha ha ah Mike 😀
I have caught 2 48"s on LSC. Both caught casting first thing in the morning, one in july on a magdawg, 1 in june on a bucktail. Biggest inland lake fish a 47" Murray fish in October that ate a hellhound. Heaviest fish of all though may have been a 46.5" I-chain fish. Still looking for that legit 50" fish.
Since Tyler doesn't have an account on here I'll post the "up north" giant he caught in 2013. 55" and near 45#.

My PB happened earlier this year. I was night fishing alone and was on one of my favorite spots. I threw out and after a couple cranks she hit. It wasn't a big hit or anything, but could definitely tell the fish had some weight. She didn't fight too hard, just stayed deep and wouldn't let me move her. She came to the surface after awhile and I slid the net under her without a huge fuss. It was almost as if she didn't know she was hooked or she had been caught before and knew the process. Didn't think she was that big during the fight, but realized she would be close to that magic mark as she easily filled the frabil. Got her unhooked without a problem and set up the camera and bump board. Quick picture and measurement and had a new PB at 49.5"!
Still waiting on a 50" but can't complain at all about a fish of that caliber."><url url="[Permission to view this media is denied]<url url="[Permission to view this media is denied]

A 51.5" that ate a topwater 3' off the shore, 48" that ate a topwater and did a tail dance on top the water, but my favorite a 47", Was casting a crank bait and it was out about30' when I looked down and saw this head pop out from under the boat. Brought the bait by her in front of her face and started my figure eight, watched her gills flare and bang she nailed it. Had her in the net in about a minute.
My PB is a 47" Wisconsin fatty. She was the first fish I'd caught on rubber, black and white reg dog. I was fishing with the guy who introduced me to Muskie fishing. We identified an out of the way rock bar and decided to try it. This was the first either of us had ever cast for Muskie in 20'+FOW. As we approached a tight, inside corner of the rock, this fish absolutely smashed me. I was a great fish, with a great friend, on a historic Muskie lake.
