Use lures that won't get hung up so easily. Try spinnerbaits, or crankbaits that ride nose down. Or Suicks. Stay away from anything that has ANY side to side action. When using a crank, just a steady retrieve. Most of the time, the lure will just bounce off, but it it rams in too hard, just let off for a few seconds. The lure will come free, and just keep chuggin'.
