The weather man is expecting some warm weather this week. Temps are supposed to be in the 70's. How do the warmer temps affect the musky? I thinking a couple of warm days will make them active? It's supposed to cool down Friday, so Thursday would be the best day to get out? What do you guys think? I'm taking a day off work this week and I'm trying to figure out what would be the best day to get out on the water.

Tory and I were just talking about that on Saturday. I used to think the same thing, but almost all the fish we contacted came during the warmest part of the day with hardly any wind, and full sun. Go figure! Rule #1 is there are no rules with muskies. But I would place a bet on the last day of some stable weather. A cold front is bad any season IMO.

Gotta keep this in perspective… Rising water temps during a given day are OK especially in COLD water it can/will move fish. Rising water temps over the course of many days is what is considered bad. During these times you are best off on deep water, or a river, that will be less impacted. The first couple days of rising water temps may not bother the fish especially if it comes with a strong front.
