See note below from Shana @ Wolf Lake visitor center. Contact her if you can help on August 20th
The Friends of the Wolf Lake State Fish Hatchery (FOWL) is a recently created 501 c 3 non profit whose mission it is to; “Practice and promote the stewardship of Michigan’s natural resources through education, conservation and management by utilizing interpretive programming, outdoor exploration, exhibits and displays”.
That being said, we are having a big ol’ shin dig to introduce the group to the community on Saturday, August 20 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. (Get Hooked on the Hatchery!).
We will also be having the catch and release fishing on the show pond like we did at Fish Fest so if you have any interested volunteers, send them my way! We definitely need folks to help with the fishing portion of the event.
Thanks so much,
Shana Ramsey, Hatchery Interpreter
