Unusual 2015 Strategy

How much longer till the season starts? It's been about 5 years since I fished for muskies this past November. At least there's finally ice and some pike action.

Took me only almost 50 years but finally got a small fishing pond of my own, a lifelong dream. My unusual 2015 strategy may be to stock it with one muskie and plenty of suckers. Then I'll see if I can more consistently catch muskies this year, plus have a place to get suckers to catch my one musky on.

I'll let my fellow MMA faithful know what happens. Maybe we can even have an event there someday and have about 30 of us throwing baits at the one musky.

Not this year, the spring tournament will be on Budd Lake May 16th. Someone needs to update the "upcoming events section" for 2015.

Also Joe, I'm very jealous of that pond! Its definitely on the long term plans for my new property.

Joe, you really need to add some bluegill and hybrid redears. Could grow in to an ice fishing honey hole.

I tried putting two 17" Tiger muskies in my pond, as I release them and watched them swim along the shore, the bass surrounded them and it was over that fast. Both gone/dead within 5 minutes [smilie=bangtard.gif]

Nah, it won't be like the Ovid outing at all…

Fishing at Lake Joe, you'll KNOW there's a muskie in there. 🙄
