I enjoyed my time at the booth, seeing the little kids (and some adults) jaws dropping when they saw Will's fish mount made me laugh. I talked to a handful of people that were interested in muskie fishing and wanted to know about the equipment we used and where they could fish for them. Also had 3 different guys that said it was their dream to catch a big muskie and had been trying in several lakes with no success, they all took pamphlets and seemed like potential future members. I appreciated getting free entry to the show as I would have probably gone anyways and even got my wife to go as she was super excited to see the "air dog" competition.
Thanks to everyone who worked as well! It was a good show and there were a good amount of people interested in the club; I think we will get a handful of new members from it. I also had a couple people saying it was their dream to catch a musky and were very interested in getting as much info as possible. Will also gave some nice presentations which a lot of interested people attended. A lot of questions were asked during and after the seminar so all in all it was a great show.
I was amazed by how many people were interested in Muskies, and how many stated that it was their "dream fish" or fish of a lifetime to catch. Brendan ended up getting more questions than I at the booth it seemed and talked quite a bit about the Muskie he caught last summer.
Had a Murray Lake lake home owner who said he caught a 48", 26 pd fish a week ago from shore too. Had a discussion with several Thorn homeowners complain about the size limits. Even though we had the booth on Friday morning, it was still packed and I think overall its a great idea to attend this event in the future.

Thanks Jason for taking it on, it was a good time, I enjoyed hanging out with Jim and his son. We also had quite a few people come through, and say they enjoyed seeing the display. They were very impressed with the pics on the booth, and especially the pics from the hatchery! Great photographers on hand there
which started some good conversation about catching muskies, and encouraging CPR was their idea…
Too high, they def harvested fish on Thorn.
I am not sure about the fish on Murray, we had 6 or 7 people at the both when he stopped by and when he said he weighed it, I assumed he kept, before I could ask I had someone in a wheelchair ask me a question and the Murray Lake gentleman had left.
Other stats:
3 people stated they had harvested Muskie
1 stated that he speared them
1 person stated that he caught, possibly harvested a 49 out of the Cisco chain last summer.
I was reinforcing that we worked with the DNR as a volunteer/financial org. that supported efforts to stock lakes in areas the fish could not naturally reproduce and handed brochures out to even the spearer :-).
I saw a few eye rolls from spouses/sig. others as they listened to stories of fish caught or wanted to catch one as big as the one we had on display!
