I like the St Croix trolling/live bait rod for both things, but since they don't sell the blank, I can't get them… and of course don't want to buy something I can build.
Anyhow, I have used a couple of these Phenix blanks for other things. they have a series of glass ultra light blanks that other than butt diameter, and a little weight are as nice as most graphite, and as indestructible as an ugly stick. So anyhow, I like the company, but was wondering your thoughts on the 8' 20-50 lb rod…
