The double clamp s-10 Salty is the best . Mount the tracks and then get the blocks from Pursuit or trax tech. You clamp the salty holders to those aluminum blocks. They slide into the tracks. Mike
I agree with that. I have a single clamp at the bottom of Lake Hudson and was lucky to get my rod and reel back. Don't bother with those single clamps.
If you're talking the ones in this video then no, I wouldn't even think about using them: <url url="[Permission to view this media is denied]

Chad has been using the Folbe, I know a few people that use them and they seem to be good stuff. I didn't like them becasue by the time I add the track base to them they get too big to store in small places. However, if you go the route that Mike mentions with the double clamp Downeaster you end up with something of similar size. I prefer the S-17 mounted directly to a track base instead of the S-10 double clamped to a plate that is mounted to a base.

The problem with the s-17 is that you cant get them up high enough to down rod unless the track is all the way tight to the edge. The double clampers allow several different mounting options simply by reversing the clamps. Mine store in small lockers in my StarCraft no problem.
You just need to look at all the options…

Well that would work fine. Those are the bases I have for mine. Either Salty works great on those bases. I was thinking of the 17 mounted right to a plate that slides into the track. I have fished with that setup and you dont get much down angle with it. Solid just not as versatile. But as pictured a 17 would be as versatile. Up down or level just by turning the plate around. Nice.

Those are nice, just added them this past off season. Can't wait to really use them.
