Well need a little help and info for the U.P. Justin and I will be leaving for Kenbuck Resort just off H13 in the center of the U.P. This is our first of many to come. Looking for info on some lakes. Including but not just these will help keep him occupied. Looking @ Corner lakes, Round, Dana, Gooseneck, Chicago, Indian, Petes, McKeever, Big Island or any other in that area. We will try for Muskies, Walleye, Small and Large mouth and panfish. Any and all info will be much appreciated. We will be there from wed the 22nd to the 27th.

I would definitely say give the Tahquamenon a shot. You are almost guarenteed some action there. Also if you can make it west a little further Lake Michigamme is in my opinion one of the most beautiful in the state and has some huge pike and walleye in it plus you got a shot at a muskie as well.

Also, Pete's Lake right next to McKeever is full of smallmouth and alot of real nice ones too.

Michelle and I have fished Dana (very skinny launch) Big tree root but nice secluded lake and it has good muskies in it. Monster blue gills for supper Cool

Petes is gin clear and best for walleye after dark.

MCeever is one of our favorites in that area. Nice weeds and wood combinations all around the lake. West end has real nice casting options. I lost one of the biggest Muskies I have ever had on right at the western end. Good pike in there as well.

Big Island is real nice but you have to carry your boat in 800 feet, no carts no wheels, no motors. Canoes or row boats only.

All in all H-13 puts you in contact with some real nice water all easy reach from petes lake campground. Michelle and I stayed there when we fished them. I got my 16 foot smoker craft into Dana , it was tight between the trees but doable as long as your boat is not more then 90 inches wide. Good luck and have a safe trip. Mike and Michelle
