I just got back from Traverse City and I really loved the area. I was there for a LAX tournament in Traverse City. I will probably be taking my team up there next year and would like to rent a cottage on a muskie lake within one hour of Traverse City. Please advise on any good ideas or suggestions.

Thanks,
Ed

Dude, I told ya… Rent a spot on Torch… Forget the Muskies… Take the kids to Torch and enjoy one of the most beautiful lakes in the world! Yeah, you have a shot at a fish… Plan on trolling a serious spread if you don't know the water. Tough ass lake but totally worth renting a cabin! Not too mention the other lakes connecting to Torch worth it

I don't know why you would have to forget the muskies if you rent on torch, Skegemog is a 10 minute boat ride away and is easy to be on muskies without knowing too much about the lake.

edalz,

We were at the Cherry Bomb as well. My team lost in OT semi final game for U-13. All kind of spots to rent on the water, just need to pick what kind of water you want to fish!

Forget the Muskies b/c Ed was there with a entire team of kids and probably didn't have enough time to dedicate trying to find fish on water he's never seen. It's still worth visiting for pleasure even if you don't have time to chase fish.
