Yup, an awesome reel! Just wish they would make a lefty….
I just watched the new Hunt For Big Fish the other day and I can fully admit I have a "man crush" on Dahlberg. If I could have my choice of anyone in the world to fish with, I would choose Larry in a heartbeat. He is and always has been my fishing idol. I'd sure love to spend the day fishing any species with him. Imagine what you could learn in just one day in the boat with him!!! Not too mention he's just an all around great guy and I could listen to his stories all day!
That reel does look sweet! Problem is it took me years to talk myself into spending over $100, then over $200 (Revo Toro) on one reel. And as much as love my Revo Toro's I'm still not really convinced that they are THAT much better than my cheapo Garcia's that are under $100. For $500 I feel like it better do something really special.

I am a huge fan as well. I love his willingness to think outside the box and modify baits and presentations.

My favorite part too!
Michigan fish must just have bad aim. I had a few strikes like that this year, but they would either completely miss, bite the leader, or the end of the rod. [smilie=bangtard.gif]
They do look like sweet reels all the way. I'll wait and see how well they perform. I've got some Trinidads from the last couple years that I absolutely love, including a 16NA from last year that I barely used due to my leg. I don't mind the lack of levelwind and I actually like the lever. But if the Tranx is just off the charts, and head and shoulders better and faster than the Trini's….well who's to say I don't need one? LOL
