I bought my tuffy boat from this guy and he said he never had any registration for the trailer, and i need to know what the weight of the trailer is. The boat is 15 ft tuffy, i found it on a site and said it was 390 lbs, and my dad said that the trailer can handle up to 2000 lbs, but i cant find anywhere on the net where i might be able to check the weight of the trailer.

Its a TeeNee Trailer, and there is no date or serial anywhere on it.

If anyone has any help id appreciate it, im trying to get my registration done so i can get a plate for it.

I'm pretty sure you need an official weight, the Sec. State should have been able to give you an idea where to get it done. I remember getting a utility trailer weighed about 20 years ago for the same reason. I think I got it weighed at an elevator, you need to find someone capable of weighing a vehicle.

Call these guys. They sell scales and I'm sure they can give you a name of a place to weigh your trailer.

We have the same thing happen when we buildbuy a trailer with no registration. We took it to a local Farmers' Co-Op. You need to bring in a stamped official weigh slip to the Sec. of State. I think the one by me only cost 10-12 bucks.

ya i just got it taken care of, went to a truck stop. Got a signature and all the weight, only thing is they were being special-ed about weighing just the trailer by itself.. so hopefully the dmv accepts the two slips i have with the different weights as long as believe the math of subtracting my car weight etc.. from the overall weight
