i wouldnt say that this fish was clearly kept or killed.. you can see a dock in the background. I would agree it was mishandled and dragged through the grass. But tough to say if he killed it

I made a post on there to see if he would divulge the size, even told him it was a nice one. He did end up responding that it was around 40……..The worst part of it is the other clown telling him not to respond to our questions…….

that fish wasn't even 40 inches. looked like 36 or 38, since that kid was so skinny looking

I looked through some of his older posts and it looks like he fishes from shore. Usually in that same spot.

I eased up a bit, because constant scolding bombardment could lead to the opposite of what we would like to see happen….These fish handled with respect.

I thought your second post was respectful and spot on.

Preservation, restoration, EDUCATION.

As anglers become more educated about muskies the preservation and restoration will come. I just started muskie fishing last year and have learned a ton about the fish that was eye opening. The more I learn the more I see and understand the importance of cautious handling among other things. I have no doubt most anglers care about the fisheries and want to do the right thing. Respectfully educating them of proper handling, equipment selection and fishing waters with a safe temperature for the fish will go a long way in preserving this fragile resource.
