While we're enjoying Christmas in our warm and safe homes don't forget…

Take a minute to drop an e-mail to your friends in the military. I just did.

We had our christmas party last sunday. We talked to my nephew by cell phone. He wants to come home and go fishing with me. His baby boy is 6 months old. He is a gunner on a Humvee, convoy support. Jared Peterson. Mike and Michelle

Thats what our news programs should be showing! Everytime we have to hear about who knocked up one of the Spears girls, or what Paris Hilton ate or did not eat for lunch. Did Barry stick the needle in his rear, or did OJ do it. Everytime we have to hear about the day to day B.S., we should see a clip just like this one! God bless our troops, and Gods speed!

Yeah that was moving. We tend to forget what is going on when not directly affected. I had many friends in the first Gulf War who all came home. One of them was a radio carrier in a Marine unit who saw a little too much death and he was never right again. There has to be a better way than war. It saddens me as well that at least for us it is only military personnel in harms way, many innocents that do not believe in the radical agenda have lost their lives to this madness as well. I hope everyone can soon experience the peace that they deserve, American and others.

Well said Kevin, My nephew killed his first car load of armed insurgents. He is kind of messed up now. All he could talk about was Can we go to a quiet place to fish? I had tears running down my face . My sister doesnt even know where to start. He will have the support of our entire family when he returns. I dont know how to talk to him either other than hand him a pole and say toss the lure out there Jared. We hope he comes home to stay this next time. He and my son are good friends ,maybe fishing can help ease the boy back into happiness. I hope so, Mike and Michelle
