People need to know why we have the Bruce Memorial. One of the founding members of MMA and his son were taken from us before we were ready to let them go.
That is just aweful. Every time I think about it, I get a little choked up thinking about my own little ones. My wife asked me just this past spring what the "Bruce Memorial" meant when I was wearing my shirt. I explained it to her, and she got tears welling up in her eyes. I have 3 young kids– 5 1/2, 4 1/2, and 3 years old. They mean the world to me. She said she would NEVER question me any time I fish the Bruce Memorial Tournament because it goes to such a terrific cause.
On another note, it's great to see MMA grow! Just look at the difference in the number of participation over the years!
I'd like to think that they are fishing in a better place
Where the loons call out fish locations and the moose spook them towards the boat
Reels always work and there is a perpetual storm front on the Westering sky
There are too many boulder reefs for speedboats and all the fish are eaters
RIP to the lost brothers may they live forever at The Bruce.
